Well, they did in fact settle the issue without police. She wanted them to stop using fireworks, they disagreed and killed her. It certainly "settled" the issue under any definition of the word.

Would anyone else like to participate in one of these lovely out-of-court settlements? They're highly expedient and best of all, no need for a lengthy appeal!
