I won’t say what company but it’s a fortune100.

An hour-long discussion on race, equity, and equality turned out to be an hour-long panel of liberal talking points and white shaming and how everything is unfair for black people. The tipping point for me was when I was being lectured by a young male on equity and why black people need to be overcompensated for now and given more simply because they are black and historically have been disadvantaged. At point point a panelist even mentioned how silence is complicity.

The ultimate irony is that this hour-long discussion was supposed to create an environment where people could speak about issues they face. If I were bold enough to raise my hand and say how this hyperfocus on one race over another actually is counterproductive and makes me less safe/secure, I would be fired immediately for being a bigot.

I genuinely do not understand how someone can simultaneously tell me I need to engage in a dialogue with them to understand their past/current challenges, while at the same time having my life story assumed for me and summarized solely on the color of my skin.

Idk if anyone’s gonna read this I just needed to vent. I live my life by two simple mantras: “do unto others as you would have done unto you” and “judge me for the content of my character, not the color of my skin.” Sadly both of those ideals are lost in the mud, and bringing them back up is now is me just using it as an excuse for my whiteness :(

Feels bad man

It's racism these companies are pushing.

To be fair, they literally have stated the goals are to make white people feel unsafe.

Why do they want this? Because their own race makes them feel unsafe.

It gives everyone a platform to say how they are discriminated against. I never pay attention to any color, religion, etc, all I care about is work ethic and competence. But now that its shoved down my throat, I'm forced to pay attention to race, religion, gayness, etc.

The irony is that completely ignoring it ensures that you will be made to care eventually, because nobody is going to put up any resistance to it.

A group that sticks together always beats one that doesn't.

Become a partner of Black Rifle Coffee. See what products or services they need or that they can market with YOU as a partner to their customers. You will never have to deal with wokeness again.

Not too long ago there was a zoom meeting at my work similar to that. Not mandatory, but encouraged.

I logged on, saw the host was a 25 year old white blue hair with "the glasses" and listed pronouns (she/her, because no shit). She talked about 5 minutes about microaggressions before I left the meeting knowing if would be useless

At the end of it the key takeaway I heard from others? I kid you not, "look out for people unmuting their microphone, especially minorites, as they may be too shy to speak over others".

And here I am, being one of two white Americans in a group of 20 Indian H1Bs. The nice thing is the Indians don't give a shit about liberal PC crap.

Same here. EVP suggesting we read “White Fragility” and the racism seminars being in 2 weeks. I’m labeled as a “high value employee” but no one can survive the work mob.

I was genuinely afraid to even post this, for fear that it would get back to me somehow and I would be fired just for having my own thoughts.

I’m legit terrified of what’s next if we stay on this course

Well - I think we will end up having a hot civil war or war with China soon. Thats what all this shit is being set up for. Its too centrally rolled out for it not to be part of a coordinated action.

The Democrats are doing all this shit to have a chance in November. They will willingly destroy everything that made America great in order to get power. Thats all this shit ever was about.

Same. Hi-potential and promotable labeled on my annual review the last five years straight but all promotions have gone to women and minorities. I quit applying and was asked during my mid-year review last week why. I flat-out told my boss I was tired of playing a role in a game that I'm set up to lose. dead silence over the phone...next topic...

No - they really know that what that meeting was is the beginning inquisition. These people are cancer and they destroy every company they infect. Soon you will have affinity groups - angry and bitter blacks, women, gays, trans - who are all encouraged to hate any white male. Then you will be individually targeted with a whisper network. Then a precipitating event --- you saying the wrong thing -- becomes a reason to get rid of you. All of the whisper network tells HR at once that you are problematic. HR counsels you on your racism and either fires you outright or demands you bend the knee. If you bend the knee - you admit guilt and you will be marked forever as an evil racist.

If you do not bend the knee they might force you out or just make things more and more uncomfortable. They will spread rumors about you. Other teams will refuse to work with you. It becomes a shit show.

I have seen this shit blow up 30 or so companies in the last decade. Every single time it kills a significant amount of business, productivity drops to nothing, and people act terrified to interact. It kills company morale.

These people are never satisfied either. As soon as they get rid of some people - the new people they bring in will be more woke and they will try to use them as an attack against other upper management. Eventually it becomes a company wide civil war.

MidwestNorsk 4 points ago +4 / -0

My very large global company is filled with affinity employee Networks. They don't look to see who belongs to them. They look to see who doesn't belong to them.

I'd say start looking for options and start documenting. Stay silent if you feel threatened about speaking up, and document.

Top-down problem. This wont go away until executives and boards step forward and tell people to fuck off. Unfortunately we are stuck at two (i think) with Red Bull & Goya.... sad.

There are now large social justice warrior investment firms pressuring boards of directors to get woke.

Critical Theory has ideologically subverted our country for decades by infecting the minds of Americans.

These are the "hippies" that have now grown up and taken positions of power in companies.

7
Southern_Belle 7 points ago +7 / -0

This crap is already beginning to backfire.

People are speaking up about it.

Just hold on and gather evidence. Take notes. I would suggest keeping a notebook.

The Anti-racism, WF stuff is actually virulently racist. It damages people emotionally and psychologically.

It acts as a religion or cult -- and should NOT be allowed in the workplace.

We have a separation of church and state -- this is the opposite.

Did you know California is making it legal to discriminate based on someone's race?

A lot of people are okay with it now because they think it will benefit them.

What happens if it doesn't?

What happens if perhaps the Dreaded Evil White Man uses that law to hire nothing but other evil white men?

People need to understand principle, and why we need to live according to ours.

Happening where I work too. Company internal web site is filled with items about improving racial equality, and inclusion and diversity. I expect re-education training soon.

Same here. I'm a federal employee, living under the Newsom regime. You can just imagine the shit I've had eat just to survive. Like most of us, I have too much to risk. I'm not giving up a career or my retirement to make some sort of a statement, so I tread lightly. Sadly, I think most of us are in the same boat. Our forefathers didn't have as much to lose, and were eager for the fight. I intend to vote, I intend to try to convince as many liberals as I can to switch, and I am armed to the teeth. If it goes down, I'm in, but I'm not starting it.

7

yeah i'm getting out of corporate america, and starting something for myself. and if it doesn't work out, i'm going to trade school. my company is also leftist smh. and these companies love to lecture about this crap, but like in my company i had one boss who was a black woman. and she was the most worthless professional i've ever seen. a lot of the people in my position at the company are "minorities". and if anything, they get special treatment and promotions more than white males. i can tell you that much. and meanwhile my company outsources everything they can, which is just exploitation of places like india or the philippines in our case.

2
MidwestNorsk 2 points ago +2 / -0

The path to wealth and prosperity in America has always been through becoming an entrepreneur I wish you the best!

5
SharpCookie 5 points ago +5 / -0

My plan if my company forces me to do any of this shit is to ask:

"Excuse me, what exactly defines 'whiteness'? I mean, what percentage do I have to be to be considered 'white'? If I have a black grandfather, is that enough to not be considered 'white'? Is there a certain percentage of 'whiteness' I need to be for this to apply to me?

I'm sure that if you went to all the trouble to define all of these things then you'd surely have a metric for what percentage of 'white' I have to be for this to apply to me.

So formally, what percentage of 'white' do I need to be for this to apply to me?"

5
Pede 5 points ago +5 / -0

You can't reason with them. They are cultural Marxists. Your thinking of treating people equally and fairly means nothing to them. Their only idea of racism is oppressor and oppressed, and their stated goal is to undermine and destroy every system in society because everything supports the oppressor.

4
Freebird 4 points ago +4 / -0

Anyone in control of a company must Redbull - fire anyone [especially in HR] pulling for false 'diversity' or 'equity'. These people are not what they appear, they may have had good intentions but now function as racist cultists.

They will destroy a company from the inside, forced resignations and purity tests.

2
MidwestNorsk 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've rarely known anyone working in HR that's worth a cup of spit. Most of them are on the very far left side of things.

The same thing was happening in German companies and offices in the 1930s.

Party members were sent to give lectures about the Jewish problem and how it needed fixing to create a more just society.

In the early 1930s you would be fired if you spoke up. By the late 1930s, you would be killed if you spoke up.

I had to deal with this at grad school which was bad enough but at least there I could speak my mind, well in 2016 at least. I see The infection has spread from Bay Area grad schools To the whole country. It’s a scary thing to see how fast this bullshit has grown.

Yep I heard Wal-Mart also is pushing hard. Showing their diversity statistics before financial earnings in their executive updates. Telling people they need to choose friends and mentors who "look different" than them. Spent an hour lecturing middle management and employees on "inclusion". Ok..lol.. whatever

White men executives are being replaced but it's a revolving door in the executive positions filled by minorities and women who are only just staying long enough to build their resume. Usually about 18 months. And you should see the wake of destuction they leave behind when they leave the company. Everyone like me is hoping the job market stabilizes so we can leave to a less woke corporate culture.

Same at my company. Fortune top25 to work for. Similar situation. Hour long issues conversation including corona and BLM. Listening, even role playing and conversation--mostly how to deal with staff when they bring things up and how to manage it. Feels bad man

2
MidwestNorsk 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same. Big global Fortune 30 corporation pushing employee to donate to a very select minority organization and then matching the dollars from the corporation's foundation. Trying very hard to keep themselves out of the crosshairs of the marxists.

Is it too much to ask a company to just take my money and not internally or externally assert that they are more morally or ethically virtuous than their customers and employees?

It is repugnant. The icing on the cake is that these idiots are broadcasting racism while thinking themselves virtuous.

I want to pay a fair price for the good or service they sell me. I don’t want to pay for their office of Diversity and Inclusion. I don’t want to pay for the corporate re-education retreats or the racist computer-based learning modules. I don’t want to pay more because the employees are demoralized and resentful for the overt racism the leadership directs at them.

How hard is it to understand?
