As disappointed as I was with his presser yesterday this would make it worth it. If the mask thing is just feeding into the fake hysteria than I’m pissed, but if it’s to gain ground on such an important issue than it is a brilliant move.
I know enough to let the dust settle after trump says something that seems so against his base, gotta see what the big picture strategy is.
Trump was never anti-mask, he simply said it should be the individuals personal choice. The part about the masks that pissed me off was by saying it’s patriotic to wear one. So, if I can’t or won’t wear a mask I’m now not only a science denier looking to murder people, I’m also unpatriotic?
Waiting to see the big picture is the best course, so I’m not going overboard emotional anti-trumper. Just giving criticism where I think it’s justified.
basically the gist is the "4d chess" here is to tell people if masks work then you should have no reason to want vote by mail. If the masks actually protect people, then you should have zero excuse not to show up and vote in person. if not, then then admit the masks are useless.
