Stop using google products. Using google products is asking them to steal, use, sell and profit off all your private data. Plus target you as politically undesirable - and maybe pass the information to antifa.

yeah thing is you turn this off, assuming it's not "secretly still on", but if local contact tracing is advanced enough, they can still monitor the public wifi you connect to, cell towers, and if your location is on that too. They'd use the same methods police use to track criminals, which is why if you're REALLY worried about this shit, put your phone on airplane mode and when you go someplace you don't want to be tracked get a case that you can put the phone in that surrounds it all the way and shields it from being able to communicate. Something that blocks all radio transmissions from the phone. (of course then you can't use internet or anything like that)

When I click learn more, I get this.

"Use the COVID-19 Exposure Notifications System on your Android phone To help understand whether you've been exposed to someone who reports having COVID-19, you can turn on Exposure Notifications. If you change your mind, you can turn it off.

To use the system, you need to download an official app from your region’s government public health authority.

If you have COVID-19, you may share that info with your app to help alert the people you've been in contact with. If you've been exposed to someone who has shared they have COVID-19, your app will notify you and give you further instructions."

This says it’s still the notifications to you but that doesn’t mean it it won’t notify anyone else
