This is actually a concept that people, dare I say on both the left and the right, often struggle with. Nature is not a fully balanced videogame. There are cascades built into the system all over the place. It's been proven over and over that some of the healthiest most diverse ecosystems are managed by humans who study the science, study their systems and have a passion for both. Those humans need money and good will. Any place that is really biodiverse could be harvested and better put to use for industry. Someone needs to pay for that land. Someone needs to pay for the laborers, wardens, scientists and even equipment volunteers need to do their job. You want to work with nature, not against it and likewise you want to work with human nature, not against it. We DO NOT want to end up like europe where every bit of nature has been consumed to make residential areas because sooner or later they ALL succumb to control from the left and we don't want to abandon nature to its own devices either because nature will achieve what is possible. Food for thought but your neighbor literally eating you roasted on a firepit is completely natural.
