Can confirm that more education doesn’t always make you smarter. I took an astronomy class as an elective in college for an easy A. I distinctly remember someone in the class not knowing what caused seasons. They thought it was because the Earth was in an elliptical orbit. I pointed out that if that were the case we’d have two summers and winters a year across both hemispheres.

How the hell do you make it to college without knowing about the Earth’s tilt causing seasons? That’s like a “Bill Nye when there were still two genders” level of science.

Not to one up you, overheard this girl's surprised reaction to seeing the moon, during the day. "That's not possible." It's ok, she has a master's degree and focuses on special needs kids as a means to her speech pathologist goals. She must feel right at home.

Lol wtf. How do you get to adulthood without ever seeing the moon out during the day? Used to see it all the time as a little kid walking to the bus stop in the morning.
