No other words from me other than this is disgusting. I'm a young, lifelong MLB fan that pays (paid) an arm and a leg for season tickets, merch, food, and everything else year after year. No longer.

I'd rather just not watch. I watch baseball because I love the sport and the rich history of baseball in America. If I'm going to have Marxism shoved down my throat every time I watch I'd rather spend my time more productively.

Major League Sports have always hated you! They tolerated you because of your money. They have abandoned the United States long ago. NBA is beholden to China, NFL has been trying to break into the European market, and now its Baseballs turn! They think this is the best business decision because you are too fucking stupid to stop funding them! PROVE THEM WRONG!

The thing with professional sports and their revenue sharing media deals are that they literally don't have to sell a single ticket or merchandise to turn a respectable profit. They don't need fans in the stands. If you want to hurt them, people are going to have to stop watching them all together.

Don’t forget CrashCar! They Bubba’d out.

Welp, guess I'll have more free time to read about the evils of communism.

Maybe it's always been the frog in the slowly heating pot going on, but this year everything seems fucked, like this isn't even the USA anymore, and that this is just a few chapters into an increasingly worsening dystopian story. Every day I wake up, it feels like waking up in an entirely different universe. Its bizarre how much has changed and all the shit coming to light, getting censored in 1984 fashion.

Goddamnit. There are so many good intentioned Mets too, Matz specifically with Tru32. Gonna be a fucking shame if they cuck out, but they’re a New York team so I won’t be surprised.

Baseball is dying...which is sad, because it's my favorite sport. It's going to suck being in a world without sports...

Only alive because of TV.

Strike_Eagle784 3 points ago +3 / -0

Funny thing is, I hardly watch TV. What I meant was it's going to suck not caring about how well the team is, or about the sentiment behind baseball as "America's past-time".

Add internet to that statement, and you just described America of 2020.

2
LurkingForTheWIN 2 points ago +2 / -0

I mean, you can go outside and actually play sports... this would solve many problems in America, and burn many enemies of America simultaneously...

Lol, tis is true. I've always enjoyed playing Basketball, for example, rather then watching it.

And just like that I stopped watching MLB. I mean, I stopped watching it 20 years ago, but I’m still going to not watch even harder.

Another sport that I will never watch again. Amazing business decision.

Digital ads are projected on the pitchers mound this year-will be hard to tell whats painted and whats digitally stuck on the screen.

You could think MLB is in a death spiral, but their app, At Bat took in a billion dollars last year.

What time is it? Bullshit o’clock

And the NFL is permitting players to affix a BLM-related decal to helmets this season. The NFL was vehemently against helmet decals for the slain Dallas police officers five years ago. This hypocrisy makes me want to vomit. Tomi Lahren's tweet completely nails the hypocrisy.

MLB rejected commemorative 9/11 caps last year for the New York Mets. They approved writing "BLM" on the mound for opening day.

All this faux virtue signalling has sapped any remaining passion of mine to follow sports.

What I will be paying attention to is the morning of November 4th, when all these BLM/Antifa protesters lose their minds after a GEOTUS re-election. Then the fun is just beginning -- just wait until the pink pusdy hat brigade descends on Wadhington DC after President Trump names two conservative Justices to fill the seats of Ginsburg and Breyer on the Supreme Court. That'll be the time to grab the popcorn, sit back and enjoy their collective meltdown.

What a stupid time to be alive.

DaayTerkErJerbs 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is going to go horribly for MLB. Worse ratings eva incoming.

1
ShiffsDeadHooker 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've been a fan for many decades and am completely done with them. Fuck MLB.

1
GitmObama 1 point ago +1 / -0

How do you boycott something you don't watch anyway?

1
Parkyr413 1 point ago +1 / -0

I would say I won’t watch anymore baseball, but I already didn’t watch any baseball. AFAIK the NHL isn’t going to put BLM on the ice so that’s the only sport I will continue to watch. Basketball was never a thing to me and the NFL is now also dead.

At least we still have UFC.

Fuck em. They are supporting domestic terrorists. So what other national emblems can these assholes destroy? Professional sports is toast. Expect them to go after our other pastimes like fishing, hunting, and the great outdoors. Maybe rename our national parks after the BLM founders?
