Today marks the 2nd National Annual Glioblastoma Awareness Day! It was introduced by U.S. Senators Martha McSally (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Brian Mast(R-FL), and Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
Glioblastoma is the most aggressive form of brain cancer. It was the disease that Senator John McCain, Senator Ted Kennedy, and Joe Biden’s son Beau Biden passed away from.
In the middle of the pandemic the creator of the TrumpCoatBot from the Reddit Days was diagnosed with Glioblastoma. We are saddened to hear this news but there is hope for the creator.
Thankfully, our great President Trump pushed the Right to Try Act in 2018 which directly affects terminal illnesses in a positive way.
Another act called the Promising Pathway Act which is also sponsored by Senator McSally wants to make a change to how the FDA drug approval process works. It will allow all terminal illnesses to get access to promising drugs faster with a time-limited provisional approval pathway and looks to lower the overall costs of all drug development from Billions to Millions. With this bill passing and knowing Trump would sign it if it got to his desk, we are asking the community to help send these letters and share this link to influence our Senators to get behind and pass this bill.
