Well the food prices only have to go up if we decide to sell even more to China. We can choose to tell them to go fuck themselves, and should IMO, and our food prices could remain mostly stable. The bigger implication for the United States, which his honestly the only implication I care even the slightest bit about, is the fact that we haven't yet succeeded in pulling all of our manufacturing or pharmaceutical infrastructure out of China yet. We really need Trump to continue to force this issue and bring everything back here as much and as soon as possible.

If this does essentially wipe out China as the narrator claims it could, while yes that sucks for a lot of Chinese people, it's honestly probably one of the best things that could happen to the world. Destroying the last major communist superpower would be a monumental victory for everyone else. And it would seriously harm, or possibly even stop dead in their tracks, all of China's plans for war and global conquest.

Massive flood, famine... Almost sounds biblical.

Wasnt China taking down crucifixes and symbols of Christianity recently?

When you artifically shape the environment, this is the risk you run.

China has had an imperialist society for 6,000 years. Keeping the waterways clear and avoiding flooding is a basic requirement. Turnover in regime typically has followed extensive flooding.

Understandable but short sighted. Part of the reason for this dam is the pathological need to feel on an equal footing with western engineering and technology. This abomination is vanity.

And the truth is, they are not on equal footing with western engineering. Money cannot buy everything. Even if this dam doesn’t break right now,its usefulness as a propaganda piece has been completely shattered.

The dam is just like anything else Made in China. A cheap piece of shit with no quality standards that will fail prematurely and be tossed in the trash.

They plan to let this occur so that the world will have sympathy for the Chinese, and to draw away from the fact that they caused this virus to outbreak

Sympathy for the Chinese, not the CCP.

The Chinese ppl are also victims of the the Chinese Communist party.

Sorry, but my well of sympathy is beyond spent. I reserve the last of it for patriotic Constitution loving American citizens and absolutely no one else on this earth.

My feeling is this won’t happen. But if it does it could be China’s Chernobyl. Is there any nuclear plants in its path?

If you think the Chicoms won't go to war in irder to distract their population from their historical failures, you'd be wrong. This dam doesn't need to break. The damage to the Chinese economy and people is done. The flooding has wrecked countless farms. This comes after countless other calamities over the last 7 months. There is zero hope China overcomes these factors.

If the Three Gorges Dam fails, they might try a local war but not an international war. They are far too dependent on food imports to risk that level of blow-back, and the Three Gorges Dam would impact a lot of their pharmaceutical and medical production (which is somewhat important for large-scale warfare).
