Yeah I think it's possible. We already had a war against them in the 50s, fought on the Korean peninsula. 100,000+ Chinese peasant soldiers died in that conflict.

They are more than willing to kill American soldiers to further their geopolitical goals.

Their economy and industry is precarious. They rely on food shipments by sea to sustain much of their population, and cannot secure those supply lines with their anemic navy.

I believe that if China was or is in a different situation in terms of shipping, they would have tried to blow a couple us carrier groups out of the water already, and invaded Taiwan.

It's only a matter of time until they build their forces enough and restructure their logistics to the point where a few us submarines can't kill 20 million of them through starvation. When/If they reach that point they will start shooting in an attempt to force the US out of the region forever.

Nobody is going to nuke each other over naval skirmishes.

They don't need to invade Australia to take over. Just immigrate more millions of Chinese by force after compromising the Australian government (already happening). In two or three generations Australia will "vote" to become a vassal state of China. Anglo birth rate is below replacement on that continent.

Australians are fucked. Chinese view Australia as their room to grow. A continent that was ripe for the taking until Anglos showed up from all the way across the world and plunked down their shit. They don't like the idea at all. If China actually does get its shit together they will make slave states out of all of ASEA/Oceania.

China could also inflict grievous harm on the US mainland if they want. There are millions of Chinese in the USA and tens of thousands of them are directly involved with the CCP. They communicate in an impenetrable language for layperson and have networks of businesses across the country. The sheer destruction they could create overnight if the CCP ever flicks the switch is enormous.

This is why its important to force all Chinese agents and CCP loyalists out of the country before things get hot.

At this moment in time, if China tried to land on Taiwan, I believe the USA would take the opportunity to destroy every single Chinese base in the south China sea, as many of their subs they could find, and also demolish their navy. It would be disastrous for the long term plans of China. They won't act until they know they can win decisively.

Great comment. Im with you only expelling Chinese CCP agents, they are a MASSIVE ticking time bomb right here on US soil. Are we really going to just wait and hope that they don't activate them from the mainland??

not possible

because nuclear weapons exist

australia is under the US nuclear umbrella

australia should probally develop their own nuclear missile program, ICBM subs would be the most ideal, aust can afford it and has the expertise and resources

Australia should worry more about being a good friend to America so if protection is needed America has no reason to hesitate. That whole (not Stephen Halper) Alexander Downer thing was not cool.

Sorry, Stephan Halper is the wrong guy's name. My bad. I was thinking of Alexander Downer. He was part of Australia's participation in the whole Spygate thing where Obama spied on the Trump campaign.

You might want to look at an American base in the Northern Territory with a whole lot of nuclear warning signs around it... I am not a conspiracy theorist but I can put two and two together. One of Australia's worst kept secrets.
