I'm not a Christian, but I don't blame them one bit. Even when you remove all moral overtones from transexuality, you are still left with a mentally ill and profoundly confused individual. Certainly not someone who's fit to lead a congregation or be a spiritual advisor.
Gonna use this post to put out my own thoughts about trans people. I think it's too bad that there are steps in the transitioning process that are irreversible like HRT and "sex reassignment". As time goes on and as technology advances, those options will become cheaper and more accessible. Even though I have a trans sister-in-law, and I respect who she is and what she has been through, I still find it disturbing how the "help" that's out there for these individuals is taking pills and paying thousands to destroy their genitals. Its strange that we don't often hear about trans men. Probably because transitioning is a fetish pushed by the media. It used to be men dressing up in womans clothes and now its men subjugating themselves to pain and they are victims of a larger issue at hand. It's been said before and I'll say it again, "The media is the enemy of the people."
The thing about physically transitioning in an body deforming way, it saddens me greatly to see young people do this, or anyone under 35. For example, a 20 year old does this, how do they know what they’ll be like and how they’ll feel a full lifetime later when they are 40, or 2 lifetimes later when they are 60.
