Crushing debt. Like $90K in student loan debt with no end in sight. But mostly credit card debt. It may shock you but there are a lot of women who supplement their desired lifestyle with soul crushing debt. Knew a chick who had $40K in cc debt, drove a nice car, and still piled it on to eat, have drinks, and act like she was the success she wanted. But one stiff breeze and she’ll collapse.
Now you understand why so many young adults have a moron boner for idiots like Bernie. They've literally fucked themselves up a pole and their only hope to ever get out of debt is some kind of magical fairy tale intervention where the government just says "Haha, just kidding, all your debt is cancelled and here's a free house you never worked or saved for!"
It seems they want the world to fix their broken fantasy. No restraint. No self-control and nothing but instant gratification. I don’t remember where I read it but apparently one of the downfalls to Sparta was the uncontrolled indulgence of women who were given control over wealth and property. Watch TV and see rich people happy with sexy men and shiny shit. Might not be too mysterious why once they see a steady paycheck they might become addicted to stuff and indulgence.
It's almost as though hard work and struggling to create a future builds character and teaches you about the value of things and that the many joys of life are not created out of thin air.
It's fucking boggling to see supposedly-intelligent leftist coworkers on social media bitching about why the government "doesn't just print more money so we can all stay safe at home until the virus goes away"
