I've scored as high as the mid 140s, and once for funsies I had been drinking; about 8 out of a 12 pack, pretty damn buzzed after work and still scored a 130.
Young people tend to conflate having a good memory with being intelligent; the two are not the same. IE college grads that think they're really smart, but cant figure out simple things on their own. Having a good memory allowed them to become reasonably knowledgeable in their field of study, but having an average or below average IQ prevented them from figuring things out. Since they do know a good deal about their specific field, they think theyre smart but in reality are no smarter than the average dum dum on the street - they just remembered information that someone gave them.
This is by far the biggest contributor to the left thinking theyre educated and therefore smarter. Theyre dumb and cant figure out that they are constantly contradicting their own logic and are really just a bunch of low to average IQ hypocrites.

Honestly, that would be my preference if I had to pick one.
Mine is the guy writing the test, making my score whatever is beneficial to me when I take it.
