Shut up

Stop downplaying the truth.

37
BraveBraveSirRobin 37 points ago +49 / -12

Wake me in time to see the perps walk.

40
NYC_4_Trump 40 points ago +40 / -0

There wouldn’t be perp walks in anti-trust cases. Usually fines and a “breaking up” of the company.

Id gladly take a dismantled Google over a token arrest.

3
VoidWanderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's like lancing a boil and just watching as the puss runs all over and soaks in other places. You're not solving a problem if the people causing this just get to further spread out and infect even more.

Google and Twitter

2
mygovisacommie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not enough. The PEOPLE need to be held accountable.

12
BraveBraveSirRobin 12 points ago +18 / -6

More than holding my breath.

12
HuggableBear 12 points ago +12 / -0

There won't be any because they haven't done anything criminal. They are violating civil statutes and will be broken up into their constituent parts and it will cost them a ton of money, but there will be no perp walks.

What we want out of this is for Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc. to be scattered to the winds and all their individual divisions become their own individual compnies that have to be profitable all on their own instead of being sheltered under a gigantic corporate umbrella.

10
JeremiahKassin 10 points ago +10 / -0

More importantly, what we want is open platforms that don't try to regulate conservative speech!

9
HuggableBear 9 points ago +9 / -0

Which is what will happen when there are no giant mega-corps involved in the process. It's the entire purpose of the anti-trust act. When companies in a market get to be a certain size, even if they aren't throwing their weight around to keep people out (LOL I know, just saying), their sheer presence makes it impossible for others to compete and nearly impossible for them to even survive.

When the ecosystem is no longer dominated by a single player taking up 90% of the signal, smaller players can jump in to fill gaps that people wanted bu t the big player always ignored.

Gaps like CONSERVATIVE VIEWPOINTS

11
Wrexxis780 11 points ago +11 / -0

Took them long enough

10
CisSiberianOrchestra 10 points ago +10 / -0

Antitrust lawsuits are notoriously slow. From the time the antitrust lawsuit was filed against Ma Bell until the time the company was broken up 11 years passed.

2
NoahGav 2 points ago +2 / -0

That was a really long time ago. Maybe it will be faster this time?

1
Panzershrekt 1 point ago +1 / -0

the cynic in me says with the army of lawyers these companies can deploy, it'll take even longer.

4
RocketSurgeon22 4 points ago +4 / -0

There are at least a dozen activities tied to the DOJ against Big Tech and Social Media. This is just 1 of many.

3
Troll 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah it won't matter after the election though.

2
RocketSurgeon22 2 points ago +2 / -0

It certainly adds to their workload and cost. It also opens the door . The 230 section revision is a well timed play. I believe they will be forced to cross the line and expose themselves. The resources required and all the complaints will keep the lights shining in the dark areas

Will this force Google to list firearms and accessories on their shopping site?

18
DestroyerofCobwebs 18 points ago +18 / -0

Here's a hint, DOJ: Get to the root of the problem. The entire Silicon Valley tech empire is built on a bedrock of lies, and those lies start with how they make their money.

Nearly everyone runs ad blocker software, yet the revenue for these advertisement based businesses has never faltered. What gives? Do the major corporations that are paying for all this billions worth of advertising, even care that no one sees the ads?

Maybe that's not what they're really paying for at all.

5
NYC_4_Trump 5 points ago +5 / -0

Google to ad companies: “We’re Google. Trust us.”

5
zerosmokescreen 5 points ago +5 / -0

the content/search results/posts ARE the ads ...

same with the news on tv

3
RocketSurgeon22 3 points ago +3 / -0

They pay for stealth marketing. Paid online shill armies to share fake 1st hand experience, victimhood, articles tied to a campaign, negativity and smear efforts. However they all want the perception of mass popularity and support. People don't realize how much they project support. You would think 2016 Election would create questions beyond polls and 100k in Russia propoganda. 70% of shit is manufactured and paid promotion by stealth shill efforts.

14
SouthernFriedFreedom 14 points ago +15 / -1

This is a year old

3
RocketSurgeon22 3 points ago +3 / -0

There are a dozen activities by the DOJ here. People assume its 1 big activity. Some are surgical actions such as revision of section 230 while others are broad.

Without clarifying all the activity and connecting the updates to the activity - we will continue to have low energy comments.

2
LittleBlackKat 2 points ago +2 / -0

Which makes it all the sadder.

8
Dckman 8 points ago +8 / -0

HERE COMES THE YEET

5
Amen 5 points ago +5 / -0

What’s with all the sourcless posting. We should stop upvoting posts without sources.

2
RocketSurgeon22 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agree. Broad titles without specifics, no source with many low energy comments. Seems like its happening a lot on here.

4
Amen 4 points ago +4 / -0

Found it - from a year ago. Such a dishonest post. This dishonest shit will kill this community. Not at all what this movement is about. If I wanted to be lied to I would join the DNC.

2
RocketSurgeon22 2 points ago +2 / -0

We are being hit with shills hard. It's been unbelievable this past week. Non stop negative shit, unsourced posts, etc.

Trump admin and campaign has not endorsed this site. You should share a post about this. It's a problem and the moderation does not care to enforce these things at the moment. They are busy building updates to the site.

5
Trythisagain 5 points ago +5 / -0

This is good but, I wish he would hone in on the Mayor’s and Governor’s!

2
RocketSurgeon22 2 points ago +2 / -0

They are doing it. This is a totally different department of the DOJ.

5
suckmycorona 5 points ago +8 / -3

So we may see something done in about..... 10+ years, MAYBE.

3
LeftistsAreInsane 3 points ago +3 / -0

When you have companies like Visa, Paypal and GoDaddy all blacklisting competitors like Bitchute and Gab, it doesn't take much of a guess to figure out how they created or least unnaturally maintained their monopolies.

3
MagaMagaChooChoo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Let me guess, DNC Barr will prosecute TD.win and leave Reddit and Twitter alone...

Probably too late in the game to be effective in preventing it from hurting in the election.

1
RocketSurgeon22 1 point ago +1 / -0

Everyone needs to understand there are many swim lanes here.

DOJ is reviewing Google by itself. Social Media Section 230 Revisions, Social Media Anti-Trust Review, sweeping Big Tech Anti Trust Probe.

If you hear or read about DOJ Anti-Trust activity, it's important to connect it to the appropriate swim lane. Otherwise people will assume its a singular investigation.

1

oh boy, can't wait to read his strongly worded letter a year from now. Barr and the DOJ are fucking useless.

1
its_maam 1 point ago +1 / -0

Social media companies need to be gone after for deceptive business practices. Selectively enforcing their rules based on politics is a deceptive business practice.

1

It’s way overdue for this. I quit FB over 10 years ago because I could tell they were censoring conservative views back then. Time only made them bolder too. If Biden makes into office or this is not fixed in the next 5 years kiss freedom and rights goodbye. This is the censorship, thought control, and outright lies Orwell warned you about.

1
WillyP702 1 point ago +1 / -0

can't you just taste of all the liberal tears this is going to generate for us? .. People really believed a man like President Trump would let social media companies get way with disrespecting him??? President Trump is someone who once you piss him off he will find a way to take you down and you won't see it coming. What I love about him is, he doesn't tell you when it's going ot happen he just waits until you get comfortable then unleashes hell on Earth on those who dared to cross him.
