This is just anecdotal evidence, I know a few people who work in the "non-essential" entertainment industry in the tri-state area. They have said, and heard the same from others in the industry, that people want to get out and go to a amusement park, restaurant etc. but very few are going out because these governors are treating their residents like they are all carrying a plague, making them wear masks, stand on a circle, etc.
People are going out, just to non-structured activities, basketball, baseball, biking, hiking, etc. where they don't need to wear a muzzle.
Plus if you leave the state you have to be worried about being fined for not quarantining for two weeks. You know the exact opposite of what Cuomo did.
