I put hand sanitizer in all our cars, my wife’s purse, by the front door, the back door and the garage door. I prayed my toilet paper supplies would last. My parents didn’t seen their grandchildren in three months. And of course I wore a mask (a full P100 actually) every where.
I shamed a 16 year old trauma patient hurt biking with friends mid lockdown. I stopped giving breathing treatments at EMS agency recommendation to patients with obstructive airway disorders. More than once I agreed with elderly patients about them not wanting to go to the hospital for fear of catching Covid. I repeatedly called my partner an idiot when he showed me videos of people and encouraged them for disregarding lockdowns.

Some nations have re-evaluated their numbers, and given results of up to 80% less than originally reported.
I suspect the American numbers, if they are 80% off? We can call them accurate. I suspect the number they will have to walk back is 95 to 99%.

The only way to know the real story is to look at the excess deaths per month in 2020 and compare against past years, but you have to wait probably 6-10 months for that. Plus you have to account for changes in other causes of deaths (more suicides, fewer auto collisions, whatever else). We will never get the real story but that will be the closest thing, because these numbers are swimming in bullshit.

I was listening to the local broadcast a couple days ago and they did their daily Covid scare segment and listed the two local people who had died from "Covid" that day and they were both in their 90s. I couldn't help but think - did they die because of some virus, or because they were almost 100 years old?

The orders come from above. Doctors have best practices to follow. Most doctors are doing the right thing but they are licensed and need to act in a certain way. They can't do anything else or they lose their license. This was coordinated and it rolled downhill to such a degree that nobody could do anything. Everything from the treatments to the reporting to the data collection to the data analysis. This is so huge it's difficult to grasp just how big and how messed up and evil it is. We could be wrong and this could just be a perfect storm of incompetence but there are too many decisions at the highest levels in critical places that occam's razor doesn't seem to apply here.

My cousin was tested 19 times for COVID-19. He is a DEA agent was was positive for the disease. He was listed as 19 separate cases instead of 1 case tested 19 times over the course of the illness. Figures lie when liars figure.

I put hand sanitizer in all our cars, my wife’s purse, by the front door, the back door and the garage door. I prayed my toilet paper supplies would last. My parents didn’t seen their grandchildren in three months. And of course I wore a mask (a full P100 actually) every where.
I shamed a 16 year old trauma patient hurt biking with friends mid lockdown. I stopped giving breathing treatments at EMS agency recommendation to patients with obstructive airway disorders. More than once I agreed with elderly patients about them not wanting to go to the hospital for fear of catching Covid. I repeatedly called my partner an idiot when he showed me videos of people and encouraged them for disregarding lockdowns.
No more. And I thank God I didn’t take it further.
