Why wouldn't they? Hospitals have been financially incentivized to call as many deaths Covid as possible to get guaranteed federal payouts. As opposed to conventional claims paid out at shitty negotiated rates that insurance companies routinely sit on paying out, if you're not in the set percentage that they just deny outright just to "test" and make them prove it's a real charge.
