Not proud but I believed the lie at first, Pedes.

I’m a paramedic in the Bay Area. We all saw the numbers coming out of Italy and the rest of the world and bought it hook, line and sinker.

I bought more freeze dried food for when the full lockdown came. I stocked up on masks for the family. I moved a large portion of my portfolio to cash and gold (that actually worked out for me). I put hand sanitizer in all our cars, my wife’s purse, by the front door, the back door and the garage door. I prayed my toilet paper supplies would last. My parents didn’t seen their grandchildren in three months. And of course I wore a mask (a full P100 actually) every where.

I shamed a 16 year old trauma patient hurt biking with friends mid lockdown. I stopped giving breathing treatments at EMS agency recommendation to patients with obstructive airway disorders. More than once I agreed with elderly patients about them not wanting to go to the hospital for fear of catching Covid. I repeatedly called my partner an idiot when he showed me videos of people and encouraged them for disregarding lockdowns.

No more. And I thank God I didn’t take it further.

Leftist lies and you, Pedes, opened my eyes to it.

There’s nothing but the hype.

60k new cases in Florida daily? Bullshit. 140k dead from Covid? Bullshit. Hospitals TOTALLY full? Bullshit. And riots won’t spread it? But don’t make a living for yourself? Bullshit.

You get the point and I’m ranting now.

In summary: if you feel like you need to wear a mask or close your business that’s your prerogative. Otherwise quit lying about this bullshit.

MAGA!

Don't be too hard on yourself. You reacted according to the information you were given. The disinformation is so pervasive and insidious that it's difficult to comprehend. Actual information and real science trickled in slowly and as far as I can tell, there's still been no centralized attempt to publicly collate what's real about covid. Treating crises like these with the quiet eye is always the best approach but we all falter.
