I have been in that same situation numerous times, and I work IT.
My problem is that once I get a weasel backpedaling or scrambling to change the subject, I cannot stop myself. Anyone from my side pulling me off gets to stand in for the piece of shit I was brutalizing until the bloodlust leaves my system.
I commend Ms. Faulkner on her restraint. She is a far better man than I will ever be.
Edit to add: Calling Ms. Faulkner a "better man" was meant entirely as a compliment. There is nothing at all masculine about her 99th+ percentile feminine pulchritude.
