I get where you're coming from. I'm not a big sports guy, but it's terribly sad this honest endeavor is under assault. Take your logic a bit further. Say, to music. For music lovers, imagine all the music played on the radio is "woke". Would you listen to the radio anymore? Wokeness to pedes is painful cause it forces them to give up something they enjoyed. And their pissed. Yeah, it's kinda useless info sometimes, whatever the honest endeavor, but not everyone is cognizant enough to digest Locke or Mills, et.al. Besides, observing sports is among the few times you get to drink and cheer at the same time. So, brother let us mourn a bit for America's sports fans.

I’m in complete agreement with you.

We all need to realize this IS the agenda.. and it’s working.

The goal of marxists etc is to completely polarize every facet of life. You can’t have sports, music, school, even a fn haircut without some lines being drawn in their goal.

I checked out of sports years ago, I could care less. What I DO care about is the unravelling of something others hold dear to themselves and enjoy. People can both be intellectual and also into sports, too. I pretty much got into sports as a way of bonding with my brother and father. I was always into music more. It was something to talk about, look forward to, and much more for me beyond points on a scoreboard.

To your point. I lost interest in one of my favorite bands a few years ago before Trumps victorious election. In the middle of the show they stopped to say it was the most important election blah blah and said you know who to vote for... and instead of leaving it at that.. they shouted HILLARY.. it was sickening to see them polarize half of their fanbase so casually. Fortunately, many of the artists I follow haven’t taken a huge line in the sand with politics. But I do see it with many artists saying if you support Trump than fuck off. It’s disheartening. It’s ok to have opinions, but at some point the lines are blurry if you’re not per se a political band ala rage against the machine types. Just as sports, I don’t go to concerts for politics, I go to get away.

I am worried for the future, but I am hopeful there are more patriots than anyone could ever imagine.

Rage against the machine? More like Rage on behalf of the machine.

Lol I Agree! Just saying they are overtly political so you know what you’re getting into with them without surprise.

The band I mentioned is called grouplove which is indie/pop glazed in summer good vibes. It’s not a band you’d ever expect to be screaming politics at their fans. It’s unfortunate.

I feel.ya. Vote Republican and pray my brother. I'm praying every day for our country. Sports, music, theatre, the arts, our great heritages, education and history are being systematically attacked. I believe it's a spiritual war.

For the record, I'm not completely shitting on sports. I get it. But I have greater priorities. It's a shame, but I didn't make this mess.

For music lovers, imagine all the music played on the radio is "woke". Would you listen to the radio anymore?

I do love music, and I don't listen to modern music that's "woke".

It would be like you love a woman, but every time she sees you, she calls you a piece of shit and puts you down in front of your friends. At some point you have to ask yourself if it's really worth continuing the relationship.

When these athletes kneel for BLM, they're saying they hate the country. They're saying they hate you because you're white, and moreover, want you dead. Make no mistake, that's what they're saying, whether they understand it or not. How can you then take any enjoyment from watching them throw a ball around after what they just told you? That's the very definition of cucked.

The choice is yours, but understand that all they care about is your eyes on those advertisements. You turn your eyes away, and it hurts them to the core. It destroys them, eventually. I'll use this opportunity to teach them a lesson and stand up for my country, my culture, and my people.

Men before you have given up far more for their freedom and survival. I've given up a lot already, but I know more will be asked of me - of all of us.

This isn't the end of the fight. It's the beginning.

That was well stated and I agree. I haven't begun to fight.

I'm going to admit that I'm slowly but surely losing all my ideals of freedom.

Now I want the government to make it illegal to disrespect the flag and the anthem. It can be done only for public figures at big events, not for the regular person.

If a billionaire football player disrespects the anthem, I'd love to see them arrested. Or at least fined a few millions of dollars.

They are using our love of freedom of speech against us. When their speech consists in wanting us dead, we must draw a line at some point.

Please feel free to downvote me.

Not going to downvote: I understand the feeling. Sadly, it is a trap.

It's all too easy to look at the results of overbearing authority that we don't like, and think "what we really need is a different person to have all that control."

It's also easier to accomplish than to restore power to the people.

But no one on earth will govern the way you personally want, except yourself. And we all want a newer King the moment we realize the failings of the new one.

Everybody always wants more new laws, nobody asks why the country worked better with fewer. There's a reason Trump's deregulation was better for the economy than anything in decades. And it isn't just the economy over-legislation has wrecked.

Point acknowledged.

But the current state of affairs undermines the idea that this is an honest endeavor?

Term used in the generic sense. Not to imply there aren't blackbirds in the trees.

Aren’t there always...

Sports and whatever pasttime that is going woke is the "circus" of the phrase "bread and circuses". When people with common sense have nothing left to sate their boredom with (bread, presumably, but no circuses), that will be one of many reasons the inevitable reckoning, the furious swingback of the pendulum, will leave absolutely noone happy and everyone wishing they had learned history.

Also- meant to mention. With recognizing this is the goal to divide us in every past time we hold dear.

I don’t know what to think as far as protesting these sports or not giving in to what they want in dividing us.

It’s really hard to tell which is the best course. I want these organizations to hurt for bending the knee... but what I don’t want is an America completely hollow and unrecognizable of the past times we hold dear, too.

It’s a really fine line.. how can we mend the gap to keep these past times, yet prove we mean business and won’t put up with it.

In the meantime, you’ll find me in Yosemite park or similar, bc I truly don’t care about grown men playing games haha

It’s a really fine line.. how can we mend the gap to keep these past times, yet prove we mean business and won’t put up with it.

There is no going back.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you. The future will be a struggle. Peace and prosperity are fleeting. You were lucky to experience what you did. History hasn't stopped and the time has come again for men to fight for liberty... or not.

The Leftists will not stop. There is no going back. Forget about the past. It's truly over. There is a schism in this country years in the making. It will be resolved, and it will not be a peaceful resolution. Too much has happened. Too many grievances. Too much propaganda and incitement. To stand up now like the Sabine Women would just mean getting steamrolled. The nation needs catharsis, and that's only likely to be experienced in the aftermath of massive conflict.

Luckily, I don't think we'll fight forever like the arabs. We are still Americans (for the most part, which is why the injection of foreign populations into our nation is highly dangerous, for it will extend any conflict) and that means we have the capacity to come together at some point and say, "Fuck man, lets just chill.", but that won't happen until everyone has blown off some steam. Meaning, some people have died and many of us have experienced some pretty intense suffering though conflict with each other, and subsequently realize that fighting to the death for the "Green New Deal" or "Reparations" or "Abolishing the Electoral College" isn't how they envisioned their future.

Hopefully the left realizes that and starts to control themselves before bullets start flying.

That's true Pede. And it's sad for those who have a great appreciation for world-class sports athletics, just as you may have an appreciation for world-class music or literature. For example, I love watching the Olympics, but if they start kneeling, I will sadly watch no more.
