Liz Wheeler at OANN just had a segment saying that the US spends roughly an average of $14K - 17K per public school pupil.

For that kind of money why not just give the parents an education voucher for a private school ?

you would think if any of these teachers were actually smart they'd set up their own private school.

Because it's about "Choiiiiccee." ;) Voucher should be for whatever education path they want.

Fuck, they could send their kids to trade school early if the kid's talented/smart enough.

There would be a huge variety of types of schools become available shortly after school vouchers were implemented. Christian schools, music schools, computer/programming schools, sports schools, math/science schools, art/theater schools, trade schools, etc, etc. The possibilities are endless for schools to teach the basics plus specialize in various special interests of students.
