You shouldn't need vacation. Most states have some statute that mandates employers not schedule work for the entirety of the time polling places are open.
Its probable, but didnt happen for the governor election in my state. I also think it'll be a better experience if the whole day can be focused on the election experience. No stress. Show up early to vote. Get it done. Spend the day with loving family and watch trump walk the red carpet again.
