Disney has destroyed itself. Twitter is crashing down. If they even cared about the money, they'd reverse their policies immediately. They don't care about money. They care about POWER.
Disney is going down in flames. Those parks being closed, no entertainment production, they are hemorrhaging cash. They believed this insanity would be over in less than a month and now the rumor is that the parks won’t reopen until 2021. I know Orlando opened, but barely and Hong Kong had to close after reopening. They went from billions to crumbs overnight. Disney+ alone cannot float a company that big.
Nobody's going to the parks, either. I was a passholder before all this went down, because I'm a local and for us it's dirt cheap. Fortunately, they gave us the option of canceling, since enough people called in demanding they change their policies since they're a violation of the contract we signed. For most people, though, it's a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Now, they're going to have to pay more than ever to be shuffled around like they're in a prison camp while wearing a stifling mask around in the Florida heat. Anyone who puts their kids through that is a monster. All the passholders in the groups I joined to keep up with the goings on in the parks are raving about how great it is that there's no lines, even in the middle of summer. It's like the implication doesn't even bother them.
Rumor has it Lucas Arts has come up with a plausible in-universe way for the star wars sequel trilogy to be non-cannon. I don't think they're planing on re-doing the sequel trilogy.... just pretending it never happened, and moving on.
Rumor is when Disney asked George Lucas what it would take to get him back running Lucasfilm his response was:
1. I get to make MY sequel trilogy
2. Kathleen Kennedy is GONE.
3. Disney may never ever touch the original trilogy EVER.
4. None of this is negotiable.
and disneys response was supposedly "OK great when do you start?"
It's not a question of whether they'll continue to make money. It's a question of whether they'll take in enough to remain operational. Ticket prices at the parks are already through the roof, and they were already slashing entertainment there to save money. There are no new movies right now. They need to maintain $12-13 BILLION dollars just to break even. They probably won't see half of that this year. Even for a company as big as Disney, that's unsustainable.
They won't fail, but they're going to have to sell off some major properties. Maybe even hand the keys to some of the parks to different entities, along the lines of DisneySea.
Didn't they have to close all their parks for MONTHS due to the Chinese virus too? On top of that they just spent a huge sum making new starwars lands at both parks but nobody likes starwars anymore because they pozzed it with SJW-isms. So starwars which they paid a huge sum for was already forever ruined before the whole Chinese virus shutdown.
That is why the FED now buys corporate bonds. If a company like Disney needs money the FED will print it, Disney will print some bonds and they trade. They are not going to go out of business. That does not mean they can not be taught a lesson.
Disney has gone full clown world. I can't even believe how Gestapo they've become about masks in hot assed Florida, even going so far as to dictate which masks are and are not acceptable, and saying that people can't walk and drink at the same time.

Which is fleeting when there is no money to back it up. Didney is going to be Deadney in a few years (after they sale a lot of their unused assets.)
When stock brokers realize Twitter is just a stock begger business, they will bail too.

Just shoot the lame horse and bury it respectfully by the barn.

Not holding my breath but there is a chance.....
Doesn’t matter to me.
They had a chance to make a good movie and instead they chose to insult their fans.
They won’t get a single penny from me again.

A titan is about to fall.

They're counting on China to keep them afloat.
