We’ve been talking about boycotting the nfl for years. They keep right on raking in the dough. These Other sports teams saw that, and so joe they know there’s no risk to doing so and they are jumping on the bandwagon.

But what I don't get is the Left is going to use their donations and support to target and destroy them. Look at what they are doing to football and womens sports? Those sports days are already numbered if they keep going down this road.

What universities banned collegiate football? What movie led to significant rules changes and protocols in the NFL? Your next assignment awaits.
DC, Toronto and maybe another team or two (Rangers or Bruins maybe) will have these kinds of big displays but I'd bet that's about it.
Hockey's a very regional sport with an almost exclusively white audience. They have a massive opportunity for growth as well right now. So unless they are overzealous and retarded I doubt it will become an annoying, league wide thing.

The only tweet I saw from Ovi was expressing sorrow for Floyd's death and condolences for his family, but he didn't actually add #BlackLivesMatter at the end. But I'm not on Twatter so I may have just missed it in a later post.
Also, the NHL has had to fight for its US audience.
Every lockout or strike has really hurt their following here, much more so than for the NBA, MLB, or NFL. Kneeling or otherwise protesting the US during games will alienate the few that consistently stick with them.

The commissioner of the NHL is a legendary dumbass who has inexplicably held the job for decades. It would surprise no one if he and the league office cucked out but I doubt very many players would jump on the bandwagon. The NHL is mostly Canadian farm boys and Russian immigrants. Neither seems like a group that would be 'down for the struggle'.
I do have to admit that I haven't heard anything stupid from Bettman on this subject yet, so maybe he deserves more credit than I just gave him.
Fuck the Capitals anyway. Only good thing from DC right now is GEOTUS. Let's see what the other teams/league will do. Maybe we can rally around hating the Capitals.
