I’m curious to see the ratings on all sports broadcasts this year. I’m expecting the biggest drop for NFL or NBA.
I would like to think so but even on here people are watching these shit shows. I guarantee there is a sizeable amount of people on this site who can't wait for football to start. They think they are doing something when they yell at their tv about kneelers and still watch the game.
I AM that tool bag that wrestles with not watching the NFL vs playing fantasy football with 9 awesome dudes. The camaraderie with the boys and weekly payouts $ is the #1 reason I might still play. I deep down do not want to watch the NFL though and I might cancel this shit. I can hold my head high at least knowing that I haven’t given the NFL a penny for years (Since Kraepernick) and stream the games instead of paying for any package or even cable for that matter. I realize it’s totally hypocritical so go easy on me haha. But I’m trying to get my buds into something else we can all do like actually going out and maybe get a frisbee golf league or bowling or something besides fantasy football. Just want to be honest with my fellow Pedes and let you know your comment is not wrong.

I stopped watching when the kneeling started. I also had made pretty big investments over the last decade in sports cards, mainly football. I sold all my shit on eBay, started watching woodworking videos and have a pretty decent shop with some high end equipment including a CNC Router. I spend a few hours everyday out there. It is very therapeutic to take something raw and turn it into a personal creation. I really don't even think about football anymore.

Even the NFL came back a bit when it all died down from that other cunt taking the knee. But you right there will be more people that are plainly addicted to watching it than people turning it off.
Might take a hit for a bit. But once they run it dry in terms of kneeling people will start watching it again.

NASCAR is bragging about ratings being up a percent or two, when in actuality they should be asking why aren’t ratings back at least to halfway 2001 levels. The real litmus test will be when normalcy returns.
I think there'll be a big spike at first, due to the novelty of it. Then a sharp fall-off after that wears off. Conservatives largely won't be watching, and 'woke' liberals are intimated by anything with a sperm count above 0.
