"He kept his word to me." This is an important concept to a man who established his career on handshake deals. Keeping one's word is an alien concept to the political elites of Washington DC.

omegapede 197 points ago +197 / -0

Yes, everyone on Trump's shitlist is there because they doubled back on their word or did something else (lie, dirty politics etc.) I hate how the MSM refuses to acknowledge this and just runs with 'Trump lashes out for no reason at all'

79
stjdalen 79 points ago +79 / -0

Well, MSM also lie so that's the reason and why they are also on the naughty list

15
WhiskeyAndCoffee 15 points ago +15 / -0

"A mans word is his bond, if he can't stay true to his word then what is that man worth?"

My dad told me that when I was a kid and to me is still true to this day. No one likes the truth, but when a lie is found out it destroys more than what it built.

19
elephant_nuts 19 points ago +19 / -0

And the media spins it as “ Trump demands blind loyalty”, when it’s really “Trump hates duplicitous pieces of shit”.

It's hard to be a successful businessman if you con everyone you meet. No one will trust you, eventually your business will collapse on itself. That's something leftist don't understand about business men, you can't be crummy and be successful (for long) or VERY rarely. Even a POS like Bezos, doesn't screw over the people he works with. he's evil because of his goals but not on his ethic. If that makes sense

Anti-Trumpers think he did absolutely nothing to make those billions and that his father and his subordinates did all the work while he just sat around all day.

Maybe that is how some people came to live in luxury, but absolutely not this man.

26
BeefyBelisarius 26 points ago +26 / -0

They get upset when you point out that Fred Trump was never a billionaire and died over a decade after Donald became one.

14
mnguy12000 14 points ago +14 / -0

REEEEEEEE Billionaires were not common back then LOL Ok keep telling yourself that!

10
BeefyBelisarius 10 points ago +10 / -0

If they weren't, that just makes the President more impressive for becoming one in the 80s.

4
LugNuts 4 points ago +4 / -0

What are your motives for being on this site. You’re more than welcome to share your opinions but why would you want to be somewhere just to disagree with somebody in every comment.

-5
deleted -5 points ago +2 / -7
6
FreeBased1 6 points ago +6 / -0

We are supposed to be beacons of truth and facts. To act as if our President wasn’t given multiple financial gifts in order to 1) start businesses and 2) keep them afloat when they were failing, is simply not factual. My motive is to call it like I see it, rooted in fact.

Plus, it could do some good in educating some Pedes who may not know certain things. So I feel my presence has multiple purposes, spreading truth and educating.

My parents gave me some gifts too. They paid insurance for my first car. They got me a few savings bonds when I was little.

And of course, not all gifts have to be monetary.

So, do the gifts MY parents gave me invalidate or cheapen any accomplishments I've had in my life? Or, since my parents gave me.. anything, does that mean I am completely worthless?

What did your parents give you?

You can say anything you want it won’t bother me. I am just curious why every post you make has a negative rating. Just seems suspicious to me why you would be on the site That you feel the need to disagree with everybody. I am sure you’ll get a lot of Fake Internet points over at Reddit. As to your point about his father giving him Lowndes I have no problem with it I would not of been able to have a successful company without loans either. Sometimes cash flow is not ideal and you do what you have to do to Keep the company going. It’s better than the alternative shutting it down and laying everybody off

-2
A2020Win -2 points ago +1 / -3

I don’t remember saying anything negative towards you at all. I also have no issue with loans, obviously. Simply stating I wouldn’t exactly look at a person as this tremendous business man if every time he got into financial trouble his Daddy came in with $3 million in a bag and left it for him ( not to mention this example was at a casino no less, where the house is literally designed to win). Loans are fine to start businesses, bailouts are completely different. Or are we siding with those that are too big to fail and get bailouts while the rest of the country goes belly up?

alien concept

Nearly everything we patriots do, think, say, and believe is an alien concept to the cabal elites. Everything from basic respect for life, how to treat women and children, and inclusivity to respect for the flag, the office of the presidency, and the sanctity of the vote. Pure alien nonsense to [them.]

We are fortunate and also saddened to be witnessing the final years of what people once called "western civilzation" and a "free and open society," when individuals had value and worth and their own identity and certain inalienable sovereign "rights".

6
CelesteD 6 points ago +7 / -1

Uptrump for using 'inalienable' I hate when people use un-alienable. Both are technically correct, but if you do your research the original spelling was inalienable. It was changed later on.

3
ZeroDeltaTango 3 points ago +3 / -0

3
alcowiggles 3 points ago +3 / -0

Being poor should be uncomfortable, else no one will ever try to be anything but.

True but at the same time there are forces within the system that incentivize poverty. Biggest example is Welfare. I know people that live in the "projects" that get inspected once in awhile by social workers to make sure there's no father in the house because if there was, that would be a violation. Also, having a fatherless child also renews your welfare.

2
StopDegeneracy2020 2 points ago +3 / -1

Keep in mind he is pro UBI due to the imminent technological supremacy that will cause a MASSIVE reduction in human labor. Eventually the output of goods and services will be extraordinarily high, and giving UBI will be a way to have a more equitable allocation of wealth. Or else you will have the likes of Bezos with massive robot labor and we will head down corporate feudalism, which is not exactly ideal in preserving culture and freedoms.

I have been really digging into Elon Musk and I wouldn’t say that he’s based, but he doesn’t intentionally talk shit about the President. Even when invited or almost forced to do so.

He’s a smart guy who understands the needs for deregulation, but also certain regulations. Sure, he borrowed tons of money from the US government, but he also paid it all back with interest.

And if you look at everything he is doing right now, it almost seems like he’s the only truly innovative person in America or even the world.

He’s really inspired me. My wife said I might like him more than I like Trump, but I told her that would never happen. I love my President.

39
Gulfdream 39 points ago +39 / -0

Even NASA cucked out on explaining why the Boeing craft failed to reach the ISS. They had hardware and software problems IN ADDITION TO not setting a fucking clock in the spacecraft to the right time.

NASA's investigation blamed themselves because they devoted too much of their personnel auditing and micromanaging SpaceX. Because Boeing was the "trusted" company, they were given 4X the money and free reign to operate as they saw fit, thus their craft failed...

Liberal logic: You didn't handhold me. You gave me too much money and freedom, so you didn't catch my mistakes. If's your fault I failed.

I have been really digging into Elon Musk and I wouldn’t say that he’s based, but he doesn’t intentionally talk shit about the President. Even when invited or almost forced to do so.

He’s 100% about his business. And he’s been successful at it… winning is a process of decisions.

Trump 2020.

22
Mr_Beanths 22 points ago +22 / -0

I would go further than that and say that he is 100% about the goal of his businesses. Which is the spread the use of electric cars and colonize Mars. I’m no tree hugger, more of a tech person, but I can see a Model Y in my future very soon.

On top of that, things like Starlink are going to change the Internet service providing world. I can’t wait to tell my cable provider to kiss my ass.

15
YourDaddyKnowsBest [S] 15 points ago +15 / -0

and colonize Mars.

That is the ultimate goal… and the Minerals on Mars.

6
MAGAMAN4EVA 6 points ago +6 / -0

Not really. I mean people want to go to Mars but there is really no real reason to other than being the first.

The minerals are all on easy to get to asteroids. Its damn hard to get to mars and land let alone return witch is 100 times harder. Why deal with that when you can just mine a rock already in space? They never will. As for living on another planet you can forget about that too. The surface of mars is hard to land on because of the atmosphere but offers none of the benefits atmospheres should. The radiation is the same as being in deep space pretty much and the gravity isn't much more that the moon. Way to low to live on permanently.

Were gonna live inside giant rotating cylinders if we ever live anywhere else but earth. Only way to simulate Earth. They can even build them on the moon which does make sense to live on since its so close to earth and you can catapult back/ actually mine.

4
Richard_Friedman 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think his goal with space colonization is more in line with jump starting the centuries long process of terraforming planets like mars, Venus etc and colonizing space.

There certainly is a long term need for it in my mind. It won’t be completed in any of our life times but the start is just getting there.

2
MAGAMAN4EVA 2 points ago +2 / -0

There will be no terraforming. It takes too long and too much energy. Its easier to do much greater works in way less time. Venus we would have to remove most of the atmosphere and somehow cool it way down. Mars will never have a magnetic field required to keep an atmosphere from blowing away and to keep you safe from radiation and will never be a good place to live or harvest for resources.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmFOBoy2MZ8&t=427s

This channel is amazing btw

2
Richard_Friedman 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yea, as of today this is true. It’s a process that will take centuries. We already have theoretical formulations in chemistry and materials science to terraform The Venetian or Martian atmosphere. The biggest issue is getting the technology scaled up and transporting it there in a large enough scale.

With centuries of time and advancement in automation and space travel, I do think we can terraform a planet. It’s really the only viable option for a long term, self sustaining ecosystem other than earth. We may have to solve the terraforming problem to save earth it self in light of some future hypothetical calamity, anyways.

Even though Venus’ atmosphere is some 90 times as dense as earths, it is still the more viable candidate for long term, self sustaining habitation if terraformed, IMO. It has nearly the same gravity as earth as well as an active core. Everyone is fixated on Mars right now, and as a base or short term solution, it is viable, but the effects of low gravity on life would be great in the long term, and life may not exist as we know it, or at all there.. A fully manifested atmosphere would take millions of years to strip away by solar winds, even with no magnetosphere, and there are artificial solutions, as well. Again, the biggest issue is scaling up and getting the equipment there.

Given centuries of time and advancement though, I do believe we will see terraforming of one or both in the next several hundred years or millennia.

No one knows for sure though, and anyone saying anything with certainty is just being short sighted.

Tesla is a little different since it’s a public company. The reason SpaceX isn’t public is because his goal is to colonize Mars. Starlink is going to exist purely for funding Mars missions. SpaceX won’t go public until Musk is long gone.

7
BlackFlag 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm very skeptical about Starlink..... but I could be wrong.

5
Mr_Beanths 5 points ago +5 / -0

It’s okay to be skeptical. But if you think about it, the main goal of Musk is to colonize Mars and the main way he is going to pay for that is through Starlink. This man made rockets that can land upright, I’m confident he can make and ISP. It’s going to be a very cool future we live in.

Isn't Tesla still heavily subsidized?

11
Mr_Beanths 11 points ago +11 / -0

Not anymore. They were initially given a multi-billion dollar loan by the Us government, but they paid it back with interest. Trust me, I used to be against Elon and talk about the subsidies, but the more I learn about him, the more I see that he is truly the only explorer alive today.

And he sees the importance of the American spirit in what he is doing. He understands what it’s like to be an American, which is important.

It’s true, that electric vehicle purchases are still given tax incentives, which can be seen as subsidies, but Tesla is making moves to make their cars even cheaper and cheaper.

They just released the Model Y and already dropped the price by $3k for basically no reason. And in September they’re announcing new battery technology that will make their cars cheaper and more efficient. They’re either going to double the mileage capacity of Tesla’s or cut the battery size in half while keeping the same mileage. September is going to be a very cool time for electric cars.

They're creating an actual enemy in touting fake ones, the absolute irony and lack of awareness of the left is hilarious.

22
nmipede 22 points ago +22 / -0

They are, and not just Elon. They are rapidly losing the hearts and minds of flyover country as well. Even lifelong working stiff Democrats who never thought too much about politics, just that the union or their parents told them to vote Dem.

The tax dollars will be spent so progressively that they’ll be gone before the first Tesla rolls off the assembly line.

They have probably the worst homeless problem in all of Texas. Once these tax dollars roll in, you’ll see homeless walking around in Lululemon shorts “because they deserve to enjoy the same luxuries that we do”

They're reducing police funding in the next proposed budget and spending 60 million on homelessness.

3

Yuck. The Arch is already bad enough. Go there at night and it’s like a vagrant block party. Throwing more money at it will surely fix the problem.

He must have an agreement with Gov Abbott. Maybe the factory is outside of Austin City Limits

8
PROCIsAsshoe 8 points ago +8 / -0

Given land costs in the Austin metro it's almost certainly going to be adjacent to Austin's limits. Would be silly to pony up on the premiums for development inside the boundaries just to say you're there. Build in one of the adjacent towns and become the heavyweight in local government.

10
koshersquid 10 points ago +10 / -0

After seeing what's been happening in NYC, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, Chicago, I never want to live in a dem-run city and NEVER want to own property in one. I live in a deep red rural area and feel so safe. Even if I got a job in a big city I'd definitely live outside the limits and ideally in a red county.

4
OhLollyLollyPop 4 points ago +4 / -0

Fort Worth/Arlington has auto plants. The Ford F-150 trucks are made there, iirc.

4
_deleted_ 4 points ago +5 / -1

Move out of the Austin City Limits?

12
NuclearDreams 12 points ago +12 / -0

I'm glad Elon is keeping promises to GEOTUS and that he's not building in Cuckifornia, but why oh why did it have to be Austin?

7
axrevolutionai 7 points ago +7 / -0

because Austin doesn't get floods and hurricanes 3x a year and Dalll as is truly cucked. I think San Antonio would have been get but their mayor wants San Antonio to die

7
NuclearDreams 7 points ago +8 / -1

Why does it have to be one of the major three cities though? I understand that's where the initial labor force would come from, but there are plenty of medium sized towns in Texas that could grow to accommodate a new plant and people could commute for the short term. Ex: Midland/Odessa has a population of 176,000 and is within driving range of probably several thousand more rural ranchers whose children and family members might need jobs.

This is the problem with manufacturing nowadays. It used to be that companies would situate factories in new, budding regions to spur growth. Now they just plop them down in the middle of a city and force anyone who wants a decent job to move to these cancerous cities.

7
axrevolutionai 7 points ago +7 / -0

and then those towns end up becoming cities? There's towns in TN with 5 Walmarts and more drive thrus than farms.

Cities aren't bad, the Democrats make them bad. Imagine a Houston led Trump style with America first people in all sectors. That Houston would be a beacon of hope for the country

The rolling chassis might be, but we need battery production here. The 18650 cells they use are all Asian sourced Panasonic. It looks like they are starting to get into the 21700 range at the gigafactory 1in Nevada though. They probably won't sell them for bikes, vapes, flashlights though which is a pity. The battery market would be huge if anyone with some big $ started up some competition.

6

They’re slowly getting there. The lowest trim Model 3 can already be had for $35,000.

6
DontApologize 6 points ago +7 / -1

It is kinda a shame I don't want an Electric Car - because I like Elon Musk.

Gasoline cars are a solution to the electric problems. Electric cars existed first but it was soon realized they had many problems. Slow recharge times. Converting kinetic energy to electric and back to kinetic. The inability of the grid to handle widescale recharging use. The lack of freedom in travel due to the limited range and dependency on nice weather.

The ICE engine is a marvel of technology - incredibly complex but still made reliable. Its like having a power plant in every vehicle in terms of complexity.

Electric cars are actually a step backwards. But man the guy made it work. I give him props for that. He is very smart guy. Unlike some other CEOs and such he is also a free thinker and can see things like the importance of native born children for a country or the value in unity.

4
JCoke 4 points ago +4 / -0

I didn’t want an electric car when I got my Model 3 almost 2 years ago. But I wanted a car with the most autonomous features and at the time, Tesla was the only game in town.

First of all, it sounds like the future. When you floor it, you hear the high pitched whine of the motors which almost sound like you’re in a spaceship spinning up its hyperdrive engine. That’s immediately followed by the whoosh of the wind as the instant torque pushes you back in your seat as if you just went into hyperspace. Silly maybe but it really just sounds and feels futuristic.

As for charging and range, I thought it would be worrisome but it really isn’t. I have a 240 V dryer outlet in my garage and with that, I can drive 300 miles a day, plug the car in when I get home for the night and have a full charge by the time I wake up. Sure it takes hours to charge from home but because it’s happening while you’re sleeping, you don’t really notice it. Imagine waking up with a full tank every day with your own private gas pump. That’s basically what’s it like but simpler.

Now on a road trip it’s certainly not as convenient as an ICE but there are Tesla superchargers all over the place for fast charging. Admittedly your road trips will be longer when factoring in the time to charge on the way but if you plan your meals and breaks around charging sessions, it’s not so bad.

So yes there are some sacrifices to be made when driving an EV and I wouldn’t recommend one if you don’t have your own means to charge at home but the pros far outweigh the cons at least for my situation. I foresee a day when the idea of having a gas powered car will seem as needlessly complicated as having a gas powered anything in the home like this commercial portrays.

https://youtu.be/Nn__9hLJKAk

EDIT: And for the record, I’m not rah rah environment guy. I understand the need to burn fossil fuels to create the electricity we use. I’d just rather those fossil fuels weren’t burning in my garage just feet from the inside of my house.

4
TN_MAGA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Ask any Big Three retiree about foreign car owners... they see red and start clenching their fists.

The UAW used to buy Toyotas and Hondas, then haul them down city streets on flat beds, handing out hammers and bats for Metro Detroit to bash them to pieces, while whooping and hollering about it is what they will do to any neighbors cars with foreign name plates.
