What if I don't own a firearm yet but want to in the very near future and have always been a strong advocate for 2A? Can I get some kind of special trustworthiness pass?

I was robbed by a thug who killed both his parents. When I tried to call 911, he snapped the phone in half and said he was going to kill me. Had I not been able to get to my shotgun, I have no doubt I would either be brain dead, or just dead.

Sooner, rather than later should be something to consider. You will most likely never need to use your gun...but listen to the story of Suzanna Hupp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgrIsuO5PLc

When you need your gun, you dont have time to go do a background check. A 3d printer can get you started if you have a little technical ability.

What’s stoping you from taking safety and training courses and arming yourself?

If I'm gonna be honest, mostly indolence. I also live in Maine, which is in the safest state in the country, so I've never really felt threatened. Things are getting spooky, though.
