I have been wondering how this plays out. Advertising is where a lot of these sports teams get their money from, that and ticket sales.
If people are not going to sporting events, and advertisers seek other methods to get their product recognized, cause no viewers. Wouldn't athletes paychecks get smaller?
I think NASCAR narrowly avoided (or thinks they have) repercussions by introducing the Trump car. This is a good sign. Someone up top KNOWS they fucked up, and are trying to make amends.
