Interesting tidbit about Florida. They report early voting results staring in Mid September on a regular basis. Early voting in 2016 was showing Trump only trailing Hilary slightly and early voting trends democrat. He was out performing Romneys early voting results in 2012 substantially and it was known to be a tight race so it should have been a good indication that the polling data was suspect (what better data than real votes??).
Speaking of which...why isn't early in person voting being explored instead of mail in voting? Securing remote voting is a major time consuming project we don't have time for. Letting at risk people vote early on less packed days seems like a better solution.
