I have a friend who saw this coming 2 years ago. They sold their million dollar condo in front of the space needle mainly to protect their investment. At the time I was so sad at them, but looking back now it was the smartest decision they could have made.
Legit truth! She has a really successful business outside the city and has a total knack for “reading the waters” so to speak. She’s always been pretty neutral politically, but I think she’s taken the red pill since all this has gone down, based on discussions with her. She’s angry seeing her city ruined.
I am too. Seattle was my favorite city in the world a few short years ago. The commies have ruined it....
Before the current shit show, the homeless problem is wrecking Seattle.
The city living renaissance is over. 20 years ago my brother lived in downtown Chicago. A couple blocks off Lincoln Park. It was cool, fun, safe. They moved to the burbs when they had kids. They moved to NC when Illinois doubled their state income tax. The move was payed for by leaving before the first year’s tax increase.
I work in Brooklyn every September for two weeks. I was surprised how much nicer things were getting, then it started going downhill again two years ago. This year the trip got cancelled over the ‘Rona, but I a, not looking forward to next year.
What is under reported is that the numbers are not that high. 1-2k people is not a lot for a riot. You can get 80% of them to run with some gas. Arrest 50 per night and the rest will stop showing up.
And coincidentally, home listings in Seattle are up 14%. I told my brother to get out, now.

This shit won't last forever... maybe not even that long, relatively speaking. But it's gonna get really bad before it gets any better.
Same with Portland
It's not detroit until microsoft, amazon, and about two dozen biotech companies move out.

By the time this is done the feds will have us in a de-facto police state. Which was the plan all along.

Theyll just take their same Marxist social policy elsewhere just like Commiefornians
