Some say it would set a dangerous precedent, but I still like the internet blackout idea. Riot starts, when it gets going suddenly cell signal and all internet goes out in that area. Law enforcement comes in, rounds everybody up, confiscates phones and recording devices as evidence. Charges are pressed, and people are locked up without playing into the propaganda. Embed reporters to cover the roundup if you want, but charge ALL the rioters. Lock them up, no bail. They are after all dangerous.
The problem is that it certainly does set a dangerous precedent, one that would immediately be used on Trump supporters following a Democrat victory. Remember your Covid protests? Yeah nah, they'd lock you up.
I agree with the other guy. The Democrats don't need precedent. They'll do it anyway.

We can do 2 things at once. One, solve the currently problem of riots destroying other people's property

I'm not sure what your argument is here. Would you expand on how I would be giving up the future? I truly believe the other side does not have morals and are bad actors. They will do it to us. It doesn't matter if we do it first.
