Good for Best. Her officers are sitting ducks. Either allow themselves to be killed, or kill. And the killing of ‘peaceful protesters’ is exactly what the city is setting them up for. They want it so badly. So, give your cops only one way to defend themselves - they decide to live or die. And the left gets what they want - dead protesters to parade around and blame on Trump...

I don't believe for a minute LEOs are planning on escalating this to a blood bath. If they can use riot shields in addition to billy clubs, they could make strategic strikes where they aren't hopelessly outnumbered. Arrest all they can. They watched the based Feds, surely. This should be a competition!

If they're not going to do that, they should do nothing. Which might be the wiser move: "you want our hands tied? Ok, our hands are tied. Enjoy yourselves."
