Um I'm in the middle of the desert, there's tons of room and why wouldn't I want more like minded people nearby?

You underestimate the amount of land we have and overestimate the amount of people willing to put in the work to live outside of a city or even a smaller town.

This is true. You have to be self reliant to some extent and conversely learn to help each other when necessary. Besides, we are mostly all armed. Makes for a generally polite society.

I don't think this is true. Most people don't want to live in a very rural area. People may be leaving cities but I think instead the population patterns will result in more smaller cities and less huge ones but I think most of the land out west will remain much as it is for a very long time due to the lack of water and rugged terrain. I know the east is different so yea I think rural areas there could get more crowded

Yea I forgot that area is different with lots of rain. Actually I was just up in a red part of Oregon for the first time, decent area but I would not want to be moving even rural there, I'm sure the lefties are all doing the same in places like that, I don't think they are moving to places like rural Utah though, for example. I guess I was referring more to they mountain West and southwest as I'm more familiar with those places
