Our tribal schools just announced that we will be completely online in the fall. It’s insanity. We’ve already lost an estimated $200 million in revenue (I think that’s very conservative) and now parents are scrambling to figure out what to do with the kids. There’s no reason not to open. We’ve had two deaths and 70 cases since March. Everybody is just fully invested in the panic.

Sounds like it's time to set up community based schools between parents who trust each other a and share common values. All the kids from the families in the group could meet at whoever's those had room or even outdoors and they could hire teachers they liked and wanted teaching their kids instead of being indoctrinated at public schools.

If only doing that got you back your school taxes that year.

So more people have been shot in CHAZ than actually died in your area?

Yep.

Amen. We have had 10 covid deaths (supposedly) and hundreds of teachers and staff signed a petition to go all virtual. I've never been more pissed about anything in my life.

WE are not victims, We The People are the boss, even in this. Do what previous commenter Averon recommends:

And this is why I don't care. Let the teachers unions whine. Tell them to screw. They don't want to work, they don't need to get paid. Our kids don't need to get brainwashed into joining their Marxist legions.

If my kids were school age and I lived in a blue state, I'd be going ballistic right now. They are punishing children for political gain. This is evil. I can't think of another word to use for these Democrat mayors and governors.

I live in Commiefornia. It does look like our school is going to be able to open (private). But if it doesn't I'm taking my kids to a red State where the schools are open. All I need for my job is an internet connection.

Honestly I would say it's more important for schools to stay closed. Schools are nothing more than socialist indoctrination centers. Keeping them closed is a blessing in disguise. New innovations will take their place but the system has to crumble.
