This is absolutely key. I sent two kids through a top 10 public university. Both walked in with a conservative upbringing, and outlook on life. Both walked out with 4 year degrees, zero debt, living independently, and best of all, they're based.
I'll do you one better: Give them a classical education and refuse to send them to communist indoctrination camps afterwards. Doesn't matter how rational you are, college is full of a bunch of intelligent worm tongues who can twist the truth. I am a frustrated mom. My son's university announced they are going online for much of Fall semester, possibly all. Tuition is the same and they are trying to convince people that online is just fine, not much different from in class. However, my son needs labs. He needs that interaction for his field. Now we are thinking instead of graduating in three years and moving on to his next school, he is going to have to defer the year and wait until 2021 to return. Not sure how to handle this. Really disappointed that they are shutting everything down for Coronavirus, which seems to be much less deadly than we were originally told. So much for Fifteen days to Flatten the Curve!

I've had atleaat two professors say shit to me, in front of other students, that would have gotten them fired by the end of the day if I pursued it.

He's blazing a path for us to follow. Granted he's also done great on policy however real change comes from changing the culture.

I'm lucky enough to have had great parents and grandparents who taught and raised me well.
