I'll do you one better: Give them a classical education and refuse to send them to communist indoctrination camps afterwards. Doesn't matter how rational you are, college is full of a bunch of intelligent worm tongues who can twist the truth. Combined with the social environment which encourages moral degeneracy and the embrace of these left-wing ideas, and you've got yourself a very bad situation.

Plus you are literally funding these communists when you pay to send your k9ds there.

It's really not okay anymore to send your kids to a typical college. People considered an act of treason here to watch baseball, and it is. But they are bending to external pressure. The university is the source of that pressure, and you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on it.

Boycott and defund the universities. Only support places like Hillsdale College and other private places that support conservatism. And ideally also make sure that your daughters aren't turned into whores

Yeah I understand. You just got to do your best with what the situation is. I agree that you shouldn't just give up on a career because it means supporting a university.

But perhaps a better way to put it is that college should not be a default for conservative parents anymore. It should be avoided unless it's absolutely necessary, instead of being treated as the standard next stage of life.

Yes. For some, a degree is absolutely necessary.

I am a frustrated mom. My son's university announced they are going online for much of Fall semester, possibly all. Tuition is the same and they are trying to convince people that online is just fine, not much different from in class. However, my son needs labs. He needs that interaction for his field. Now we are thinking instead of graduating in three years and moving on to his next school, he is going to have to defer the year and wait until 2021 to return. Not sure how to handle this. Really disappointed that they are shutting everything down for Coronavirus, which seems to be much less deadly than we were originally told. So much for Fifteen days to Flatten the Curve!

For sure. Unless you just cheat your way through using those pay for answers sites.

Would you really want to go to a doctor that did much of his schooling online and had virtually no labs?

Same, my parents made me go. I was in it for six years and then I was like, no.

And I've never looked back
