Have no fear, AMD has stepped up in recent years and they now rival Intel on speed but at near half the price. Plus they have contracts with Xbox, Playstation, and Switch. I bought 200 shares of AMD stock 4 years ago because I saw them making moves instead of focusing on 'muh diversity'. $2/share then is now sitting at $70/share today.

Feels good man, fuck Intel!

I have one as well, its a great processor. I bought mine stupidly earlier this year, paid a premium for it but I dont regret it.

AMD is back with a vengeance and I fucking love it.

EDIT: looking at getting an AMD GPU as well, now that they are focusing on their drivers

Im running an AIB (non reference) 980 Ti currently. It does ok with most games, but I eventually will be using bigger monitors and probably be running higher resolutions and that would start to tax the card a bit.

My i5 that I had I sold to a friend of mine that needed a machine but didnt have the bucks to build a new one. its an old 4690K so with an overclock and some RAM, it will suffice for a bit.

Intel usually has a very slight upperhand in gaming. AMD kicks Intel's ass in everything else.

My gaming computer is AMD. It's insane that I got so much power out of $1500. Intel equivalent would have been double or triple cost. I believe AMD also owns ATI now. I've always been a fan of ATI. I remember having Radeon cards back in the day.

Reminds me of the early 2000's. Bought a AMD Barton core processor rated at like 1.4 ghz and over clocked it to 2.4 or something like that. Extreme performance without the extreme cost.

Yes, they bought ATI a while back. The great thing is that they didn't just pay for a company, they invested heavily in GPUs and APUs once they took over ATI. So not only are they dragging their nuts over Intel, they also took the crown of GPU King from Nvidia.

I'm serious, everybody was sleeping on AMD and they are unleashing straight fire right now.

AMD did do a BLM post, however to be fair this was before they showed their true colors. So fuck it, AMD!

Unfortunately there are no laptops meeting my specs that have an AMD cpu except for Lenovo who is Chinese. So it's either use a ChiCom machine or a USA made machine with an SJW cpu running the whole thing.

Taiwan is the real China.

Mainland China died with Mao.

TSMC is working out the details to open a fab in Phoenix very soon. Intel hasnt seemed as busy in AZ since the covid lies.

China is Asshole! so is intel.

You must not be looking too hard. There's quite a few companies who build out custom laptops and the price difference is negligible if you're just looking to avoid those companies.

Where do you shop? I use the feature filter on newegg.

I believe some AMD based laptops just came out that are competitive now.

Clevo is dog shit. Low quality junk.

This is a very dangerous industry for the United States to lose to woke terrorism. Wokeness is an attack on critical industry and infrastructure. This is warfare like we have never seen it.

The thought of INTEL INSIDE has really nasty undertones right now.

Add this to the long list of reasons why I'll be using an AMD chip in my next build.

Not really. It's debatable. They're neck in neck from the research I've been doing. Not a fanboi of either brand, but AMD certainly isn't kicking Intel's ass.

Never buying Intel again.

I actively manage my investment portfolio and years ago I already diversified away from companies that are woke or might go woke. It’s not always 100% but the risk is just too big to invest in them
