I go out of my way to do this, even when it's inconvenient. I'm amazed at how many people obey the stickers. Saw a husband and wife the other day. She was about to walk the "wrong" way, he reminded her of the sign and they went down the next aisle instead. I waited - I was the only other person in the aisle - and sure enough they returned in the "correct" direction.
That being said, the CDC did announce on Friday that traveling north-south in supermarket aisles helps to reduce transmission while traveling south-north will kill thousands.

At my job I'm supposed to display a marquee message to the public about being safe, wearing masks and yadda yadda that interrupts the usual helpful information that the marquee usually displays. EVERY SHIFT I go into the computer and disable the covid messaging and just display the normal informative message.
I'm thinking of doing this today at my gym. My condo caution taped off every other piece of gym equipment because we residents are children who don't know how to socially distance ourselves, so they had to do it for us. Doesn't matter that there's only like 1-3 people in the gym at once. They also removed all the pool chairs because the virus is obviously attracted to poolside relaxation equipment. And they close the gym and pool at 7PM because that's when the virus comes out.
I live right next to a lake. There's a nice little walking path around the lake. When the pandemic was first announced the police came and put tape around the path entrance and the playground. The playground is still taped off, but the tape at the park entrance didn't last 24 hours. People walk around the lake and fish in it every day.
I live in Queens, NY. I brought my daughter to the playground every week of this quarantine, we would just climb over the little chicken wire fence that they zip wired. I didn't mind the fence because it kept my little dogs penned so they could run while we played. The closure started to annoy me only because other people with kids would not climb it, that little 2 foot fence was like a mountain to their rule following brains. It also annoyed me that teens would come in and smoke and men would come in to work out - not that they shouldn't be free to use it too but the parks are for kids!
The last straw was when they replaced the mini wire fence with a wood & wire five foot tall one. I got pissed, went home, got cutters, went back and snipped the fence off (still zip tied lmao, parks dep is a joke). I folded it in half and chucked it into the bushes down the block. The next day I watched a kid jump up and down in excitement while yelling to his mom "it's finally open!" More people should stop following unjust rules.

We should all be doing this, I report graffiti to the city and for the most part it gets cleaned up, it's not a whole lot but i don't want my city looking like a liberal shithole

One older lady passed us in an aisle and said "You need a mask". I ignored her completely. Didn't engage. Just kept right on shopping like she wasn't there.

I've done similar. My governor's park closure orders have expired but the signs are still up. The psychological impact of these signs is not to be taken lightly. Government and the nanny-state karens want the oppression. We will be the ones that get us back to normal.
