The comments on Yahoo tend to lean center-right. Removing them is another obvious attack on anonymous message boards and online free speech. Personally, I like to read the comments more than the articles!
My dad and other boomers who aren't great at the internet love to sound off on Yahoo comment section. I've tried to introduce him to this site and twitter but he just doesn't get it.
He's written hundreds of based comments over the years. Being in quarantine is also a terrible time to take this away since he has no one to share his opinions with.
If you have a minute please fill out the survey Yahoo has put up! It's under "Reactions" on ANY article. Maybe if enough of us fill it out in support of free speech they will leave the comments up!
