I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. I am quite proficient with firearms, not being arrogant, just being honest. I am also a firearms trainer and instructor. When you get out of the cities where the folks supposedly know what they're doing, you're going to see just as much LARPing as you see here. Deshawn and Tyrell with their poor trigger discipline and negligent handling will be in no way different from Bubba and Cleetus doing the exact same thing. It's an uncomfortable truth but a truth nonetheless.
That said, I think that out here in the hinterlands, we have a larger percentage of people who actually know what the hell they're doing, but it's mostly LARPers on both sides. That is going to make it that much uglier.
