Look at who just took care of Iran and it didn’t require a single US troop on the ground or weapon fired. The value of that is priceless.
The nuke thing is the only reason they haven’t been eradicated or drawn us into battle. They have handled low level and higher level attacks on their own just fine, but the deterrent of major firepower also plays a roll. I only expect them to use those nukes when absolutely necessary.
As for the intelligence thing, I really don’t know one way or the other if there’s some hardline between us where info doesn’t travel, but it’s petty when compared to having an ally in the region. We aren’t getting fucked by Israel. The UN is another story, however.
