Instead of dumping money into these professional sports, people should take that money and time and try to actually get into those sports and play them on a personal level as their hobby. It's got to be more fulfilling. Obviously, we all can't drop millions of dollars and drive Formula 1 cars, but maybe you can piece together your own fast car or go cart, or do it together with friends. Like to watch tennis? Get a racquet and ball, go play. Like baseball? Find a group of people to meet up with an play ad hoc games. Just do it for fun. Maybe there are other things you might have never watched but would participate in? For those who just exclusively just want to watch sports or don't want or can't participate in these activities? Go and watch these local athletes, help organize, or other positive community engagement.

He invested in a boat, practiced, fine tuned his craft, stocked it full of provisions, and has regular adventures on the water, wrecked a couple times, created gadgets to assist in his craft. It is a passion that has carried him for nearly two decades. One of devotion and one of learning.

Oh it's too late for that. I stopped watching baseball after those multimillionaires went on strike in '94. Haven't watched NFL since the kneelers started getting press. Sports is no longer sports, it's not about the teams and the players, it's about corporate messaging. Fuck that, I'll go watch a local game, and never give these assholes a cent again.

Are you kidding? I never liked main stream sports before all this BS began. So they never got much out of me to begin with. Mainly for me it was more I preferred to just go out and play with a ball or go to a batting cage.
The only sports I really liked that are main stream and televised were motorsports. Even then I stopped caring about Nascar when it became less about the cars and more about the drivers. "Car of Tomorrow" ruined Nascar for me. I liked Nascar back when it was cars that were originally Chevys, Fords, Dodges, etc. back when it was doing what you could to get that extra couple laps or get that extra horse power or two. You know, the cars that were production cars at one point.

MLB might as well be cricket, as far as I'm concerned. To be clear, MLB changed, not me.
