It’s certainly not “with a deadly weapon”.
But, the criteria to use deadly force in self defense is “risk of serious bodily harm” and, in AR, “without a completely safe avenue of escape”.
So yeah, shooting someone who’s using a laser to blind you would objectively be justifiable if you couldn’t escape that threat with guaranteed safety.
I mean it's against the rules of war according to Geneva convention not sure what else is needed lol

They could use paintballs filled with invisible blacklight dye.
Then point a black light and shoot anything that glows with real bullets

They could also mix the dye with the standard pepper-balls so people don't know they got marked.
They should have military with scopes and laser guns.
Locate the source of the laser, and take out the eyes of the person who is using it.
There is no other way to stop those people. I can't use tasers or tear gas. Blinding them is using the least amount of force possible.
What makes you think that isn’t happening?
Time to bring out the heavy equipment, a few water cannons and/or one of those directed microwave arrays to get rid of the angry ants.
