Long time Yankees fan. Multiple games a year, playoff tickets, merchandise. I thought I could ignore the bullshit and just enjoy baseball. I cannot. It's not anger but deep disappointment. This is America's game, a pure invention of the country I love, and they're spitting on it. Spitting on it purely to be accepted by a Marx driven mob that doesn't give TWO SHITS about this beautiful game.

Next year all this shit will drop. Who knows if I'll go back to the game.

I work at the games. There's all this BLM blather, and there's also the mask and Chinese Wuhan blather. We have to fill out health checks, have our temp taken, stay six feet from people, still wear masks. Someone actually measured today to find out I was 5 feet 11" from someone else. In the middle of the game, while I was supposed to be paying attention to the game on the field, I had to shuffle equipment around to get that extra inch of distance.

I hear people on the phone self reporting themselves for violating social distancing.

I pulled the mask down so I could look through the binoculars to see something on the field. Instantly, someone tapped me on the shoulder, "pull the mask back up."

Good Lord, man. America's pastime is now past time for it to die off already, it seems. So demoralizing.

You're right, it is America's game. But the mlb is not America's league... Nor is any sports league for that matter. Baseball is bigger than mlb, basketball is bigger than nba, etc.

Real sports is in the playgrounds, in backyards, driveways... and is played by players, not fed to us through the tv by some "league" that claims to be the authority of all things sport just so we see their advertising.
