Hmmm, one of the very rare open Republicans and Trump supporters in the media has his daughter attacked.

Coincidence? I think not.

Could be worse, if he was still in Seattle with that radio show he used to have.

In season one, one of the episodes towards the end of the season, Frasier joins a protest against the closing of a small mom & pop bookstore by joining a sit-in on a public street.

Technically I guess Frasier was "taking back the streets", however, the one he joined utilized the non-violent sit-in method to achieve their stated goals, as opposed to the AKs and shotguns we see today.

He chickens out once the cops show up and runs, while letting Daphne get arrested.

The storyline is what is so fascinating watching it today. How they deal with the idea of protest at that time in Seattle is hilariously Mickey Mouse from my current perspective.

It doesn't feel like it was that long ago that we treated the idea of protest as a bit of a joke that we didn't really experience here in America.

Will be glad when we get it back to that way again. No matter how long it takes, I have faith we will.

This is especially awful considering Kelsey's sister was brutally raped and murdered back in the 1970s. HIs father was also shot to death in a separate incident.

He's an interesting SOB. Learning about how he negotiated NBC into his back pocket, after charming his way onto Cheers, which he initially didn't want to do and was only supposed to be a few episodes. The fans loved him so much that NBC basically opened their checkbook to him and, rather than get a single check like you or I would likely have done, turned it into Frasier.

Cheer's producers and Director James Burroughs were huge heavyweights in the industry and promised to make the next series starring Kelsey, and give him far more say in how things were done on the show than most actors, even leads. Rules like; "never cut a joke for fear the audience was not smart enough to understand it", which was something he had to fight very hard to get. Kelsey thought viewers didn't like it when actors/writers talked down to them.

Much of the brilliance of Frasier is due to these rules Kelsey insisted upon, IMO.

He never could of done any of that without knowing his worth on Cheers and negotiating for it.

He is a great success story and a out of the closet conservative too.
