So I wasn't certain about the wording and instead of bum-rushing to the outrage, I went to read the whole article.

Oh boy. Oh boy the wording is just right. It's filled to the brim with SJW trash points of view, and doesn't shy from telling it like it is: laying off white males and hiring women and people from non-white ethnic backgrounds as replacement, and sprinkling the ending with a reminder that the oil industry hiring practices are a result of racism and sexism and the death of George's Floyd and the "protests" made them realize that.

It's disgusting.

You know what to do.

Edit: headline from 5 months ago by Reuters: "Chevron plans to return $80 bln to shareholders by 2024"

Guess they are going down the drain fast and wanted to cash in on that sweet sweet diversity talking points, but never heard getting woke makes one broke.

I would love to see them try and hire women to work on an oil rig and deny them admin jobs because "equality." Yes we would get another tragedy but it would be yet another "men and women are different because of biology and we cannot be 'equal' because of it" lesson for the majority. The only way that lesson will ever sink in past all the feminist nonsense that's been intentionally spread for the past century is if enough death and damage is caused to make it clear that "equality" is only a thing under the law, not in the rest of society, and even under the law women are treated better than men.

No that's the thing, they want less white males at administrative positions. The grunts are actually "diverse enough": in the article they say that the company is already 40+% non-white, and correlated with the fact administrative positions are 70+% white male means the non-admins are non-white for the majority.
