Since when is it okay for protestors to block roads? I'm really wondering this. We pay taxes for roads and that's a primary job of government to see to the construction, maintenance and upkeep of roads and bridges. Don't these jurisdictions and cities have zoning and permits for protesters to assemble lawfully and peaceably in actual designated public spaces that aren't on the roads? When did it become okay to assemble on roads and just demand cities shut down the road and then claim the right to summarily execute anyone who dares to drive on a public road? If we actually had smart people in media, or heck, if we had a half ways decent citizenry, this would be the first question that would be brought up two months ago. The whole purpose for zoning and permitting isn't to make remodeling and opening a business a nightmare of red tape, it's to keep the road open to the public.
