Literally had this sort of thing happen on Reddit before they purged all the non-pedophiles a few weeks ago. I led with a line stating that as a (legal) immigrant I supported Trump and his policies. Immediately got back "don't you realize that you're voting against your own self interests?"

Just blows my mind how a literal nation of immigrants doesn't realize that there's OTHER places that people come to America from and that everyone isn't a: able to vote, and b: from Mexico.
