As a third gen Italian American all this Christopher Columbus stuff pisses me off. We have a history here too! I don’t want it erased. Christopher Columbus symbolizes the Italian American. Columbus Day is always when the Italian festivals are. My great grandparents came here and worked and suffered just like everyone else’s. My Nanna hates what she sees going on on the tv. She’s based af and I’m proud to strive to live up to her standards. You don’t f*** with Italians!!
