They will see an overwhelming force descend upon them if they try to block the pedes from the polls.

Frankly I welcome it

The polls are open all day. They could just make it all too awful to go take the chance, even if they aren't everywhere at once. Maybe some vigorous men would still vote.

You have seen how few people it really takes to destroy order when the authorities do nothing or are sympathetic to the rioters.

"Hi Honey. Well, I voted. Felt good. I had to shoot a few people but I voted. Long day. I'm tired. Glad it's only every four years LOL. What's for dinner?"

Does that sound like reality to you?

None of this sounds like reality to me. But we are seeing how unhinged and crazy these domestic terrorists are.

If it comes down to having to use overwhelming force to exercise my right to vote then bring it. I signed my first will at 19 years old. I accepted that I could die while defending my country and that didn’t stop when I retired.

I truly honor your guts, but a vote cast under those conditions might never be counted, if society is in flames.

That is my point.

We have three months. and I do not see any movement in the direction of these people giving up or being a marginalized bunch of whoevers blowing off steam or expressing themselves. That was last year.

This year is different. This year they are really destroying, and countless millions of dollars, and uncountable social capital of trust, have disappeared already.

An election is by definition an artifact of social peace.

Don't know who gave you that definition, but they were incorrect. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/election

An election is by definition being allowed to choose. If you are in a siege or a state of coercion or constraint, how is an election possible. Well the kind that people respect the results of, and understand to have been a real one.

I truly hope and pray for a peaceful election. I just have little faith that will happen.

Mine's down the street, 4 houses to the school. It's a felony to block the entrance, even in Cook County. I'll be out walking.

Good for you.

Lot of things are felonies. Burning courthouses, breaking into stores are probably felonies.

IlxTheGreat 2 points ago +2 / -0

yes they are, indeed. Blocking people from voting, heck, they convicted the Black Panthers on that during Obama's Administration without showing up. Then refused to enforce the law. Another felony. But where do you get an example ( other than the Declaration of Independence) of possible actions to take? Without equal enforcement under the law, there is no law. Works up the social scale as well as down.

You are right.

We still have a president and he has resources.

Some talking has to be done to our left leaning friends and relatives, because if the whole US population was against this, it would be a lot harder for them to do. Money or no money. Lawyers or no lawyers.

They know about half the country is fine with this, or does not KNOW about it.

They have your comms. You don't have their comms.

Perhaps there do have to be large crowds that say NO to this. With some men, large men, among them.

Where are the municipal unions????

Firefighters, sanitation workers. Those are large men.

If you could clear a path you would have cleared it already. You can't clear a path.

I say that in sorrow not in criticism of you.

Tell 'em F Trump and they'll let ya through so you can vote for Trump.

They are only blocking the streets in mostly minority and low income areas, that mostly vote democrat. As soon as they try this in an area where people beleive in self defense, own guns, and are willing to organize to put them down the "riot" will look a lot different.

edit: look at any of the videos where they tried to move into the suburbs. They have been instantly shut down there.

OK.

But the suburbs have not been really tested yet. There are three whole months to go.
